Dewey Finn has been kicked out of his beloved band and risks eviction from his home. His dreams of becoming a rockstar seem to be slipping away. But when he impersonates his substitute teacher friend Ned Scneebly, he discovers a trove of untapped talent in the tight-laced students of a prestigious prep school. “Mr. S” devises a plan to form a new band to take on his old one in the Battle of the Bands, disguising the endeavor as a school project and assigning everyone in the class a role.
